Beauty Basics: Easy Beauty Tips For Teens

Teens Beauty Tips

When it comes to beauty dilemmas no two people are exactly alike. With that being said even though no two people have exactly the same needs sometimes we do suffer from similar conditions. Teenagers are thrown a big curveball when puberty comes along. They become prone to acne, hair growth and sweating. Every teenager is effected by this to some extent and know you are definitely not alone.  Here are some easy beauty tips for teens that will make this period in your life a little more bearable.

Acne:

Not only can acne cause permanent scarring but it can also damage self-esteem. Teens are so prone to acne because puberty hormones cause their skin to create oil in overdrive. Our beauty tips for teens  on acne include washing your hair frequently. Believe it or not the oil from your hair is a big cause for the acne you may be experiencing. Oil from your hair has easy access to your face therefore causing more acne. Be careful and use a gentle shampoo and conditioner as a harsh one may also contribute to acne. Keeping your hair tied back from your face also works wonders to prevent more oil from reaching your face. Try to not touch your face. Our hands come in contact with so much bacteria. If you constantly touch your face you are only transmitting bacteria and uncleanliness to a sensitive area. As always protect yourself from the sun. The suns rays make it hard for your skin to heal from the acne. Above all do not pop your acne. This is the worst thing you could do for your acne. Popping acne can cause permanent scars and will require extreme treatment to remove. Think about getting in touch with a dermatologist if you are interested in finding a product to help clear up your acne.

Hair Growth:

Blame it on your genetics but that won’t stop it from growing. Hair growth is inevitable and with hair growth comes shaving. Here are our beauty tips for teens on shaving. When shaving its better to shave with shaving cream. Shaving strips your skin of its moisture but with  shaving cream more moisture is retained. Aloe is also a very great alternative for shaving cream use it as you would shaving cream and the result is smooth moisturized skin. After shaving always put on a moisturizer. We recommend shea butter, coconut oil or cocoa butter.

Sweating:

You have always sweated, but when puberty comes around you will sweat like never before. And the sweat that happens after puberty is notorious for smelling less than pretty. With puberty comes foul smelling odor due to your skin’s bacteria breaking down the oil secretions. Fear not this side effect of being a teen is easy to manage. There are a multitude of teen beauty products out there that will keep you smelling fresh. Splurge on deodorants, body spray and perfume. Have fun experimenting with what beauty products you like best.

Out of all of the teen beauty tips we can offer the most important one is to be confident in yourself. What might feel like the setback of going through puberty is actually a beautiful thing. Don’t let your new found beauty hold you back. Enjoy this wonderful stage of your life.
